Probably a FAKE!  There are entire communities in Morocco that manufacture
trilobites for unsuspecting collectors.  This one was SO fake that we could not help
purchasing it for study.  Note that the underlying rock that the trilobite was supposedly
found in is REAL.  Then, right above that, you see a layer of some man-made material
which a FAKE trilobite was placed in.  Then, the 'artisan' carefully prepares the FAKE
specimen to look like the real thing.  (This dealer at the 2001 Tucson show unknowingly
left his door open and I was able to see an entire table of these identical trilobite
specimens.  BUYER BEWARE!
