Today, we are revisiting the "Angels". It's nice to see that Intimate Brands is still "doing their part to piss off the religious right". Those in the conservative right think it's "sinful" to bare the human body in public - and to have it wrapped in a divine veil of angelic mythology... "That's just BLASPHEMY!" But, the only reason mankind began to wear clothes was because they were cold. Later, it evolved into a status symbol in the tribe. Now, it's a sin not to wear clothes? Does this make sense? Our favorite image is the first one below which includes FLYING ANGELS. The "Angels" of Victoria's Secret seem to make a mockery of religion, don't they? And, for that we say, "Thank you Angels."

(Angels aren't the only myth they mimic... Is this Mrs. Claus or one of Santa's Little Helpers?) |
