These are answers to our "Questions for God" article.  As expected, we never received any answers from "God".  Here are answers from his followers though.  We've grown tired of refuting answers, so we present these answers from the religious, often without rebuttal.  In our opinion, the questions still stand because the answers are unsatisfactory.

He showed himself, he came in the person of jesus christ, God does not allowed himself to be seen like he is (spirit) to humans being..otherwise you would die that same very moment.... But he came, as jesus, in human flesh, is no so important how God looks like but what attributes he has, and you if you start reading the Bible you'll see his attributes.... Well In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, in the beginning it was good, but Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and the world changed from good two bad... the people who rape, murder, steal, cheat, etc.. will recieve [sic] their consequence for what they do. God doesn't not let them [sic]. its [sic] a world of free will and choice. Why God made us suffer for what Adam and Eve did?, I don't know.  But we all sin and come short of the glory of God, no one is perfect.  But for all that we have done we will receive judgment one day.. for beliefs and everything... You talk about adam's ribs... Are you gonna say to God how to create woman????  He is God.  He had millions of ways to create woman but he chose the rib's projects... And why we have the same rib than woman has... First you don't know if adam has all the ribs when he died - maybe not,  maybe one was missing... If a person believes in the Bible and the Bible is true, then the answer is yes. Why didn't you make her from dust just like Adam?  In the book of Ephesians, Paul explains that by being made from the rib of Adam, the joining of a man and woman is the creation of one flesh. In the Bible, God tends to do a lot of things physically to show a greater spiritual message. This message of a perfect, holy union and becoming one flesh is one of them.  And, why do men and women have the same number of ribs if you stole one from Adam to make Eve?  The answer to that is simple. Why we christians suffer persecution....  Jesus told that in the gospel, you see that make bible real to us, we are gonna be hated and killed.  God does not promise a world pink color, he promised us heaven, this world belongs to the devil and he is the one who operates thru sinners to kill us so the gospel cannot be preached...  Even jesus was persecuted and died on the cross.... Why so many religions???  Because human beings need to fill that void in the sou.  That's proof that God is real... the moment Adam and Eve sinned, they lost that communion with God and we inherited that void in our soul... Religion won't save you is created by men to reach God, the same when men tried to reach God with the Tower of Babel, only jesus will save you...  Christianity is not a religion, it's is a lifestlye...  All religions will end up in hell all of them!  Satan is behind all religions.  I hope this will make sense for you later.  I will answer more questions... The Flood is one of the most controversial issues between evolutionists, atheists, and Christians. But the flood is a plausible event. The Bible indicates that the world before the flood was different than the world is today, just like how any scientist would say the world when they believe the dinosaurs lived was different than the world is today. The world could have been of near universal temperature (maybe not so at the poles due to the position of the earth in its orbit) since no major weather or worldwide catastrophes had occurred yet. There was no rain or snow or hurricanes or anything before the flood. The Bible says the world was watered by natural mist that rose from the ground. NASA believes some sort of metallic based band was wrapped around the earth above the ozone layer, I think. They believe the breaking of this band is what caused weather to first start. Creation scientists believe the flood was the breaking of this band, and the start of weather.  Concerning the animals, the earth could have been one giant land mass, like scientists believe with Pangea. If the flood did occur, then that is a great explanation for the split of the continents. There would have been rapid redeposition of flood sedimements, corrosion, etc, of great magnitude due to the nature of such a catastrophic worldwide event. So with the world being one giant land mass, it would have been easy for the animals to get to the ark with God's guidance. God could have tamed the animals so they would not eat each other, or possibly put them in a slumber. Either way, however the animals didn't eat each other, God could have made it so.  After the flood, the waters receded, and could have receded to such a low sea level that there would have been straights leading to other continents. These straights would have disappeared as (old and/or newly formed) glaciers melted, causing a rise in the sea level. {Note from E.A.: This answer is a good example of why we don't write rebuttals to these answers from religious people.  We've discussed most of the questions elsewhere on the Ethical Atheist site.  The person that wrote this answer has such extreme ideas about God, the Earth, history and physics that there's nothing we could say that would help.  So, we just provide the answers to make you aware of the mental conditions present in our society...}

God does not talk to people anymore like he used to.  That's why we have the Bible.  People either believe it or they don't.   Basically, the Bible is a history book that also teaches people to love and be kind to one another and all that stuff and that there is only ONE truth.  It also tells us  what signs to look for when Jesus returns.  Signs in the sun, moon and stars.  The Comet Neat collided with the sun in February of this year and broke into.  The particles are going to have to fall sometime soon!  There have been reports of Grand Crosses in the sky; planets aligned and formed a cross.  It happened in 1999 and again after the Comet Neat collided with the sun.  Check it out on gulufuture.com.  The Catholic religion is a crock!  They wrote their own Bible for crying out loud!  Why would God only communicate with a  low life pedophile anyway?  Our only communication with God is by praying.  And I pray everyday that he returns to this Earth soon and wipes out Satan and other forms of evil.  Everyone will benefit from his return.  Yes, I said Earth, God did not promise us a reward in "heaven".  It is no where in the Bible.  "The dead know nothing".  No man has entered into heaven except for Jesus.  You've heard the verse, "the meek shall inherit the earth".   This could happen sooner than you think.  Just something to think about.  [response from: Jeannette Burchell, jeannetteburchell@earthlink.net.]

If you have read the Bible, it only seems to talk about those 3 sons.  However, as it was in those times, most women were not deemed important enough to mention.  Usually, it says, "So-and-so begat So-and-so, and he had other sons and daughters."  Therefore, I believe that Adam and Eve did have daughters, but the writer of Genesis, having written the book much later in a time when women were not considered as important as men, did not mention other daughters that were born along with Cain and Abel because of their way of thinking during that time.  If you read Genesis 5:4, though, it does mention that Adam and Eve had other sons and daughters.  True, in our way of thinking today, they are marrying sisters, but in that time, that was not uncommon.  God allowed brother and sister to wed and have children without genetic problems in order to increase the earth's population.[response from: Amanda V., flutterby2158@yahoo.com]

Hello, I have an answer for question 10, and likely others from your list as well. Times were different back then when God ordered Moses to do this. Also, these men and women were given chances over and over and over again to turn to God, but instead they did evil and worshiped idols and other false gods. And since God knows all, He most likely realized that none of them would change. Back then, punishment and sacrifices were neccessary. And people had to pay for their sins. Today, we do not give sacrifices to make up for our sin. The New Testament ways are not the same as the Old Testament ways, unless something in particular is specified in the New Testament. The reason why this is, is because people had to pay for their sins during that time. They did not have a sinless subsitute. But then, Jesus was born, lived a life without sin and ultimately bore our sins apon His body when He died on the cross for us. Thus, the New Testament. He was seperated from God at that moment when He took OUR sins apon Himself and payed the price for them. What an awesome God we have! BUT, this does not apply to people who have not made Jesus Christ the Lord of THEIR LIVES, for our God is a just God and it would not be fair to give these people eternal life - so He allows the Devil to have you (who by the way is laughing at you right now, because he has deceived you into giving your soul to him). Sacrificing animals were required to have sin forgiving.  The lamb has to be perfect with no illness.  Yes, it's hard to see a lamb dying, not?  Now see jesus on the cross dying for your sins.  You love animals - the poor animals sacrified and you won't love jesus the one who died for your sins.  There is anotther question there... The answer is simple.  God wanted to see what they would do.  Since man was a new creation, God wanted to see if they would obey his word or if they would fall into sin.  At the time, man was pure and sinless.  God wanted to test them and their innocence.  Naturally, God wanted them to remain innocent, but he wished to see if they loved him enough to obey him.  God did, in a way, create the serpent.  However, Satan himself was, at one time, one of God's angels.  In fact, he was favored among the angels.  Sadly, however, Satan (at that time known as Lucifer) became hungry for the same power that God had.  Because of his greed, God cast him out of heaven.  Satan then decided that the best way to get back at God for what he did to him would be to cause his beautiful creation of man to fall away from holiness.  What better revenge than that?  So, he took on the appearance of a serpent to tempt Eve into eating the fruit of the tree.  [response from: Amanda V., flutterby2158@yahoo.com]
